What is Tasco^®?

Tasco^® is an all-natural, advanced feed ingredient, effective in all species of production and show animals. Tasco^® is derived exclusively from unique marine plants and is an excellent source of prebiotic fibers and other beneficial bioactive compounds that are exclusive to marine plants and are not commonly found in other sources of prebiotics.

What format does Tasco^® come in?

Tasco^® is a meal product available in different particle sizes to fit different feeding applications. Custom mesh profiles are available as special order.

What is the shelf life of Tasco^®?

Tasco^® has a long and stable shelf life of up to 3 years. It should be stored in a well-ventilated, cool, dry area.

Usage

Can Tasco^® be included in formulations with other prebiotics?

Yes. Tasco^® can be used in formulations with FOS/inulin and MOS-type prebiotics. However, Tasco^® can economically replace these prebiotics and provide additional benefits.

Does Tasco^® work in synergy with probiotics?

Yes. Laboratory data shows that Tasco^® works in synergy with probiotic cultures to support GI tract health.

Is Tasco^® compatible with my feeding program?

Tasco^® is easily incorporated into mineral blocks, complete feeds, and mineral mixes. With a low inclusion rate, Tasco^®fits into complete feeds or targeted supplement feeding programs. Tasco^® is heat stable and can be incorporated into extruded or pelleted rations.

Are there any palatability or taste issues?

No. Tasco^® has over 30 years of inclusion in feed formulas and customers report good palatability. The slight salty taste seems to appeal to animals.

Is Tasco^® soluble in water?

Tasco^® is partly soluble with increased in viscosity.

How is Tasco^® different from Fructo-oligosaccharide (FOS)/inulin and Manno-oligosaccharides (MOS)?

Tasco^® has at least five times the potency of prebiotics such as FOS or inulin-type products. Tasco^® is fermentable while MOS-type products are not.
